Delimbing of trees is traditionally performed with a chainsaw. This procedure is physically demanding and time consuming and should therefore be mechanized. The delimbing machine is attached to a tractor via category II mounting points. The power take-off driven hydraulic system is operated with levers in a safe working area at the back. After the tree was cut with a chainsaw, it is winched onto the machine frame. The log is then gripped by the feed rollers and fed trough delimbing knives. The trunk is measured and cut to the desired length by a saw unit.
