Problemstellung

· Architektur
· Funktionalität
· Clients
· Bedienfreundlichkeit, Wartungsfreundlichkeit
· Erweiterbarkeit, Flexibilität, Skalierbarkeit
· Offenheit, Sicherheit
· Systemumgebung
· Einarbeitungsaufwand, Schulungsaufwand, Installationsaufwand
· Investitions- und Betriebskosten
· Präsenz und Stärke des Anbieters

liefern.

Problem definition
Very often you can find the word “groupware” in the everyday life of firms as an organisation medium for choice. Besides Lotus Notes, Microsoft now dominates with the combination Exchange/Outlook the groupware sector. But also the Open-Source-Scene has a lot to present. Groupware solutions offer the chance to organise teamwork more efficiently and in the meantime to improve the quality of data, like addresses, contacts and date definition distinctly. Slim and flexible forms of organisations are without an appropriate groupware less imaginable. This not only for big organisations but also for little and middle ones.

Objectives
The work should show a survey about the actual groupware systems with regard to

· architecture
· functionality
· clients
· user friendliness, ease of maintenance
· expandability, flexibility, scalability
· openness, security
· system environment
· complexity of incorporation, training and installation
· investment and operational costs
· presence and strength of the provider
