Before the Easter holidays, classes 4a and 4b spent a week on a language trip along the west coast of Ireland.
Throughout the entire week, the students stayed with host families, which gave them the opportunity to experience Irish cuisine and everyday life first-hand.
On weekdays, they attended a language school for half a day. In addition to improving their English skills, they also learned more about Irish culture.
Among the highlights of the week were undoubtedly the Cliffs of Moher—where the strong winds occasionally made it quite clear which direction we should go—as well as visits to the cities of Galway and Limerick.
Another memorable experience was attending a hurling match between Galway and Limerick. Hurling is Ireland’s national sport. It is considered the fastest field team sport in the world and has its origins in Celtic history.
