Yesterday’s Theatre Performance: The Other Side of Goodbye
Yesterday, all 1st and 2nd grade classes watched a special play in the gym, organized by Schooltours (Vienna’s English Theatre). The actors from the Orange Tour impressed us with their acting and singing.
The play tells the story of Ella, a sixteen-year-old girl who struggles with grief and panic attacks after her father’s sudden death. Inspired by the myth of Orpheus and Eurydike, the story shows themes like loss, friendship, and courage. A trickster spirit, Alix, helps Ella through a very difficult day.
The performance was emotional, funny, and thoughtful. We really enjoyed it and learned about the importance of supporting each other.
